Feature Deep Dives
The Infyniti Hippo scale includes several key features for convenience and accuracy. These functions help streamline your weighing process.
How Does The Tare Function Work?
The tare function is a very useful feature on a digital scale. It lets you reset the display to zero, even with an item on the platform. To use it, place your empty container on the scale, press the "TARE" button, and the display will go back to "0.0g". You can then add your items, and the scale will show only the weight of the contents. This is essential for accurate cooking and other tasks requiring net weight.
What Are The Main Weighing Modes?
This scale measures in multiple units for different needs. By pressing the "MODE" button, you can cycle through grams (g), ounces (oz), troy ounces (ozt), pennyweight (dwt), grains (gn), and carats (ct). This flexibility is great for following various recipes, shipping packages based on ounce postage, or for specific hobbies that use units like grains or carats.
Does It Have An Auto Shut-Off Feature?
Yes, the Hippo scale has an automatic shut-off to preserve battery life. If the scale is inactive for 60 seconds, it will power down on its own. This feature means you don’t have to worry about draining the batteries if you get distracted, ensuring the scale is ready for your next use.
